1. Measures should be taken before the crane is put into use.
1.1. After the crane test and load test, please confirm the following work.
(1) Ensure the crane is in the process of installation and use to comply with national safety regulation .
(2) Crane status, installation and electrical equipment, must be approved by the relevant inspection authorities.
(3) To verify that all equipment is working properly.
(4) Steel structural parts must be complete and not damaged.
(5) Inspection and maintenance must be carried out.
1.2. Specify the appropriate personnel to serve as the crane driver
(1) Make sure that the crane driver is familiar with all the equipment and the correct operating procedures.
(2) The driver must have a clear idea of which operating methods are dangerous and can cause accidents at the job site.
(3)The pilot must have the operation, maintenance and inspection of the code of conduct, and to understand the code of conduct.
2. Crane place
(1) If a crane works in a dangerous place with a fire, a fire extinguisher must be provided in the driving room.
(2) At the same time, it must be independent of the location of the crane for the driver to leave the crane.
(3) Crane under the working area must have adequate lighting.
(4) If the same track also runs on other cranes, the collision avoidance measures must be taken.
3. Crane Use
(1) Crane may only be used for load specified in the data sheet. Speed and load combination. (data table is generally located in the driving room).
(2) If the crane is operated outdoor without an anemometer, there must be some other way to ensure that the driver does not use the crane in high winds and that there is sufficient time to storm lock and mechanical lock the crane.
(3) Don't use a crane under the wrong conditions. Under normal operating conditions, all the safety devices and overload protection devices must be connected.
(4) Overload protection and limit switches are safety systems, not auxiliary equipment. This security system is used to reduce human error. The overload protector is not called Jack role. The driver must ensure that the load does not exceed the rated load of the crane. This can ensure the crane life and low maintenance costs.
(5) Cranes can only be horizontal and vertical suspended cargo. At an angle of lifting load is not allowed. Only when the goods are in the air before they begin to walk and turn operation. Crane can be subjected to oblique tension caused by cargo rolling. But it must be avoided because of the extra sway caused by walking and rotation.
(6) The person responsible for the hook must be trained and the signal system associated with the driver must be familiar.
(7) An attachment for a fixed weight, such as a sling, chain, pallets and boxes must be worked well and in line with the relevant provisions.
(8) It is not allowed to change the speed of the load from the load to the no-load condition.
4. Maintenance (1) Crane owners must ensure that the use and inspection of the crane are in conformity with the code of practice attached to the crane. The work must be handed over to the competent personnel to complete.
(2) The crane structure and the use of the specification shall not be modified or improved without the approval of the manufacturer. Machinery or structure in the collision,overload, or similar accidents after the need to repair must also be recognized by manufacturers.
